Maysville Church of Christ in Christian Union

Reflecting Our Saviour’s Example (in) Service is  the acronym of our Women’s Ministry at Maysville Church of Christ in Christian Union.  We desire to reflect the servanthood of Jesus in our monthly activities, service projects, hosting responsibilities and spiritual growth.

Service through Fellowship:

We meet for fellowship once a month during the months of September through June.  Meetings include devotions, crafts, special speakers or day trips.  In April and October, we host the regional meeting of the Kentucky Region of the South Central District, Churches of Christ in Christian Union.  Our June fellowship is the annual Garden Tea party hosted at the home of one of our members.  Other forms of fellowship include Christmas Caroling to shut-ins and Secret Sister.

Service through Projects:

We endeavor to reach our community through service projects such as “Project Love”-providing support to our Women’s Crisis Center; “Socks For Soldiers”-collecting crew socks for our military through the Yellow Ribbon Organization; and“Operation Christmas Child”-joining with Samaritan’s Purse in their annual shoebox Christmas giving.

Service through Hosting:

Our ladies not only take care of the hosting needs of our local congregation, but community meetings as well.  Our church has hosted and helped provide meals for the Limestone Ministerial Association Thanksgiving Service, the Women of Worship and the Relay for Life.  Many of our ladies volunteer to provide meals for those who are recuperating from surgery.  We also provide meals for families giving them time to be together following funeral services.

Service through Spiritual Growth:

Twice yearly R.O.S.E.S. sponsors our local “Sister Inspiring Sister” Bible studies. We encourage ladies to attend other conferences and retreats that would enhance their spiritual growth.
